RETURN TO SPORTS PERFORMANCE PROGRAM

At James Fowler Physical Therapy, we understand that the number one threat to an athlete’s career is injury. This program uses “The James Approach” to facilitate an athlete’s return to play by providing a “seamless transition” from post - physical rehabilitation to participating in a high level sport activity.

The James Approach:

Athletes learn how to integrate the 3 physical laws of sport: Weight, Leverage, and Kinetic Link into their inner body awareness. Applying this highly talked about methodology, athletes maximize their force and power, and reproduce this with accuracy and precision.

"Using The James Approach, my swing has become more consistent and capable of producing different levels of intensity as I need to employ it. It was through his approach that I was able to recover from my injury and regain the strength that I lost."
- Bill Looney, Professional Golfer

DANCE MEDICINE

There is an unspoken joy when a dancer is riding the energy and connecting in that kinetic moment. However when a dancer is missing a level of strength and range of motion, and forces their muscles to make the magic happen, a faulty motor pattern is introduced. When it is continually reinforced and not addressed, injury occurs.

At James Fowler Physical Therapy, we have been successfully treating dance-related injuries from dancers of all levels, ranging from seasoned Broadway performers to adolescent dancers that need much attention as their physical changes can have a significant effect on dance abilities.

"Suzanne saved me on several occasions, especially when I needed some very specific treatment. She was quick to pinpoint the problem and was very well versed when it came to techniques to fixing the problem. Best of all, her knowledge of dance is extensive."
- Jessica Patty, Broadway’s A Chorus Line

MASSAGE THERAPY

With over 20 years of experience, Judy Marriott Fowler, CMA, LMT has effectively enhanced the client’s well-being by improving posture through the Bartenieff Fundamentals, blood and lymph circulation, and recovery time.

  • Swedish Massage
  • Shiatsu Massage
  • Deep Tissue Massage
  • Myofascial Release
  • Manual Lymph Drainage* - certified from the Dr. Vodder School

*Manual Lymph Drainage is a healing technique that has become a popular massage choice. It blends soothing, rhythmical, precise hand movements to accelerate the flow of lymphatic fluid in the body. MLD drains excess fluid from the tissues and has a detoxifying effect.

I started seeing Judy for a running-related injury that I sustained from training for triathlons. She was exceptionally helpful in relieving the discomfort and she also provided me with a series of movements to prevent the injury from re-occurring. I think she has a great attunement to the body and is able to find the root cause of issues and address them."
-Craig Winer, Tri-athlete
